Nail Polish of the Day

For some reason my point and shoot camera isn't picking up the true color of the nail polish. It's actually a true purple color but the camera is picking up a blue hue. Purple is my favorite color and I have been wearing this manicure for the past 2 weeks. This is my first Color Club nail polish which i have to say I'm impressed. It's very opaque and has a great brush. The color I'm wearing is called Disco Dress. I paired this nail polish with a new nail glitter that I picked up from the brand LA Splash. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this specific nail art glitter and decided to try Illusion. I was tempted to buy other colors but I controlled myself haha.

LUUUX Brush Set Limited Edition

I'm so excited I received this in the mail today!!! I just had to immediately make a blog post on this. If you're not familiar with the website Luuux.com ... YOU SHOULD BE! I've been apart of that website for quite sometime and received a lot of free stuff. To name a few I received UGG tall boots and an Ipod Touch 4th generation. Basically you need to earn points to receive the item that you want. I'm not saying it's easy, you really need to work hard for the points. You earn points by liking posts, commenting, and writing posts. The past couple of months the 'shop' hasn't been working and they recently 'relaunched' their website. For the time they have been fixing the website they sent members an email stating as a complimentary gift you can either receive this brush set or receive points. I decided I wanted the brush set since I'm trying to build my makeup kit. This brush set usually retails for $89.00 in the Luuux store. The shipping was REALLY fast and I'm very impressed with the quality of the brushes. I can't wait to play with them!!!! But with the new relaunching of the website they made many changed which makes getting things from  the store harder. Harmon & Duane Reade HAUL

Today I had to run out and get some essentials at the drugstore. First store I went to was Harmon which is like a discounted drugstore if you haven't heard of it before. I picked up my favorite tweezers from Revlon since the ones I previously owned seemed to disappear. I also picked up eyebrow shapers because my old ones needed to replaced. For some reason I can't keep away from the nail polish section and of course left with one. The picture isn't picking up the true color but it's like a barney purple nail polish and with that I picked up a nail glitter from LA Splash. Next stop was Duane Reade which was around the corner. This is the only place where I can find Elite Eye Lashes which happen to be my favorite brand. You cannot beat the price for these either, only $2.00!!! My favorite style of Elite Eye Lashes are (#19 and #18) I picked up a pair because I will be doing my best friends makeup tomorrow for her birthday. Last stop was Target and I only picked up (2) Elf eyelid primers because I was running low.

DSW Haul

I was on a hunt for a black cross body bag not for me but for my mother. Her birthday is coming up on January 28th and wanted to surprise her with one. She's been wanting a cross body bag to use when she goes out for the longest time. I went to a couple stores but couldn't find the right one and the right size. I went into DSW and browsed the purse section and spotted this black quilted Kenneth Cole Reaction cross body bag. It was the last one and it was just the perfect size. This bag has silver hardware and a long enough strap and GUESS how much it was? Dun dun dun... It was only $20!!! I was looking in the clearance area and found this small cobalt blue cross body bag which originally retailed for $24.95 but on sale for $17. Then realized it had a blue tag which meant it was an extra 70% off. Then I made it to the wallet clearance section and found 2 small wristlets which are great to just put in your id, cards, and money. These two were originally $12 but was on sale with a red tag which was an extra 50$ off. Two weeks ago I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off any purchase over $10 which made everything come to $32.00!!! I thought that was an amazing deal for two cross body bags and and two wristelets. I will be giving my mother both the bags and the nude wristlet for her birthday and I will be keeping the teal wristlet.

Nail Polish of the Day

Today's manicure I used a pastel green nail polish from the
brand Essie (Navigate Her) which looks so pretty and opaque.  Then I used a green nail glitter from BornPrettyStore it doesn't have a name or anything but I like the contrast the glitter gives.

Thrift Store GRAB - Crossbody Bag

I went to the a local thrift store today for the first time ever. I've been into DIY projects lately and just wanted to browse to see what this thrift store had to offer. I've seen lots of blogs and videos on how people find awesome things at a thrift stores so I definitely wanted to see if I would have any luck. Surprisingly, the one I went to had great stuff and you really do need to take your time looking through racks to find hidden gems. I didn't plan to buy anything during this trip but I couldn't pass this item up. I was in purse section and found this cute little crossbody bag hidden in the back. I've really been into crossbody bags and this is great one to add to my collection. I LOVE the this emerald green color and thought this would be a great pop of color to add to an outfit. Guess how much this was? Only $7.99 and it's in  awesome condition! It has gold detailing and the inside is very spacious. I'm so obsessed with this item, I'm so glad I found this!!! I can't to check out different thrift stores from now on and see what else I can find.

Nail Polish of the Day

Today's manicure is a different and new to me. I never used nail stickers before so I was excited to see how it would look on. The nail stickers I used were from the brand Kiss, the line is called Nail Dress. This line has many pattern and designs but the one I used were (KDS10) which is a fun leopard design. I received the nail stickers in my Holiday VoxBox (click here) which I featured in a previous blog post.  It was a very easy application so that was very big plus. As for actually painting my nails I used a Spoiled nail polish in the shade Bite Me.
